Upcoming Events:

Pensacola Opera Guild Presents Jukebox Gala September 13th

On Saturday, September 13th, New World Landing becomes the place to be as the stars of Pensacola Opera’s upcoming season, world-class artists, and local favorites, serenade guests
as part of the annual Opera Jukebox Gala. Now in its fourth year, the Gala has become
Pensacola Opera’s signature event; it begins with a preview of the upcoming season, but for the really “good stuff,” patrons have to play the opera jukebox. Opera favorites, musical theatre
gems, and standards are all available to purchase from the Jukebox, sung right at to their table
by our world-class artists. Guests can heat up their night with Elise Quagliata’s “Habanera,”
let Jane Redding take them “Somewhere Over the Rainbow,” or have Timothy Kennedy
meet them “On the Street Where They Live.” All proceeds from the evening go to support
Pensacola Opera’s artistic and educational programs.
“There’s really nothing like the Opera Jukebox Gala,” said Kyle Marrero, Artistic Director.
“When you come to the Gala, these fantastic singers, who have sung on stages from California to Austria and everywhere in between, aren’t up on a stage, under lights with wigs and makeup – they’re sitting at your table, and singing just for you, in an incredibly intimate environment.
This year’s Gala is shaping up to be our best yet, with amazing singers and an incredible
selection of songs. There’s something for everyone, whether you are an opera diehard or
someone who’s hearing it for the very first time.”
The singers featured at this year’s Jukebox Gala include:
Sewell Griffith, soprano
Sheila Murphy, soprano
Jane Redding, soprano
Elise Quagliata, mezzo-soprano
Patrick Kelley-Alvarado, tenor
Arnold Rawls, tenor
Patrick Jacobs, baritone
Timothy Kennedy, baritone
Justin Hopkins, bass
Tickets for this one-of-a-kind event are $75/person, and include a sit-down dinner with
complimentary wine. Dress for the evening is cocktail attire.
Please RSVP to the Pensacola Opera Center at (850) 433-6737 by Monday, September 7th.
Table sponsorships are available
